It's those pesky spaces I left in the filename causing the problem I think. (I can't just rename the file either because the original name's contained in the file's data too and changing one and not the other gives one's Garmin a headache!)

I won't be riding at all on Saturday, I felt rubbish today on a short ride to York Cycleworks, on way back I did like 8 miles at 21.7mph avg which I'd think was not bad but I felt crap so I think I'm suffering from over training.
