Does anyone have a nice route to get from York to Scarborough?
It is an early Christmas dinner at my mother-in-law's this Saturday and I have got permission to cycle there, as long as I am there for 1200h!
I don't know if any of the Saturday groups were planning to head out that way this coming weekend - there was talk of a ride out there on Sunday.

Get the map spread out on the floor this evening and pour yourself a glass of red.
On Sunday I plan to go out via Howsham, Langton, Settringham Bank, Rillington. Then cycle path along the side of the A64 E bound for 1.5 miles. Left through Yeddingham and on to Snainton. Then up Nettledale Lane and into Troutsdale. Hackness is next then Scalby and into Scarborough. Just over 50 miles. Its 3 and a bit hours for us mere mortals. If you are immortal you could include Dalby Forest Drive and Langdale End for good measure, or detour from Hackness up the legendary hairpins.
It up to you.
Enjoy.
