As advertised elsewhere, I did this ride today instead of the Saturday club ride.
It was fantastic. I can thoroughly recommend it to you all if they run it again next year. The weather just about held off, though it was pretty flipping windy. The route was beautiful with scores of waterfalls - they will be lovely in summer.
The feed stop was great with lots of helpful helpers, and homemade flapjack. A mother hen motorcyclist was on hand to make sure we were all okay and the pie, beans and baked potato at the finish really hit the spot!
Geraint Thomas might be an Olympic Gold Medalist, but a bit of Yorkshire rain and wind saw him bin it at the feed stop - to be fair he doesn't have anything to prove and it was nice of him to come along! Still it was nice to see my name above his on the time sheet (he was a DNF of course!).
