I've got a pile of spare copies of the Spring 2008 issue of Cliftonite, the legendary twice-a-year club magazine full of, well, words fail me.. ..stuff. Excellent stuff, lots of it about cycling. And photos too, often also involving cycles. Cath did a good job on this one. Your bookshelves will look empty without it.

If you've joined Clifton since this issue was sent out to members, and you'd like a copy, please send an A5-size (ie A4 folded in half size) self-addressed envelope with a letter rate (34p) stamp on it to me and I'll send you a copy.

No, the Cliftonite is the twice-a-year magazine on genuine magazine-style paper, that gets sent to members. If you joined after the Spring issue came out and want it, copies are available.

The email newsletter goes out weekly and apologies, Will, and a few others who joined recently, I omitted to add your email addresses to the list. Now corrected - you'll get this week's.

Hi Tim

Membership card/welcome letter went in the post yesterday. Just for general info for all new joinees, membership takes about a week to ten days to turn around - partly because I have to get approval from the committee to new memberships and partly because I run my own business and sometimes this intrudes on my role as membership sec!

While posting... ...if any 2008 members who have not yet renewed happen to read this, get your subs in now! You know who you are!

Hi Tim

Club kit is on sale at Cycle Heaven - they should have good stocks of jerseys and bibshorts in a variety of sizes - if not, let me know. Remember to take your membership card along to get 10% off list price.

For any newcomers to the TLI series - you don't have to wear club kit (in case you're put off by additional expense if you're just giving them a go) but of course if you do it looks so much cooler in the race photos you'll want to buy copies of afterwards.... :D

Thanks, Will. My explanation of "SAE" was futile, then!

I got your completed form and fiver (but no SAE), and have done your membership card and put it in an envelope which I've addressed and stamped - it'll go in the post today. It's no biggie, Will, I just wondered what you'd done with it!
